Bladeville is best known as inline skate shop - we are, what one may call, a “core” company – it’s founded by skaters, run by skaters, and we all love having wheels under our feet (even though the preference towards their size and number varies).
Concrete and asphalt are as important elements of our lives as air, sun and water and every city is like a playground bursting with possibilities. We know that many of you are the same. We also know that many of you are happy to exchange the concrete for ice and wheels for blades during winter. Maybe out of passion, maybe it’s more of a social bonding thing for you – after all, ice skating is pretty popular recreational activity during winter season, much like going to a swimming pool is in summer.
Thus, we have been offering the ice skates for the past few years, and we are back with them this season, too. There’s something for everyone: ice skates for kids, for adults and even parts that let you convert your inline skates into ice ones.
If you are on a hunt for a pair of ice skates for children, take a look at our selection here. There are hockey ones, made by brands like Bauer, CCM and Reign, but we have plenty of models leaning more to recreational side, designed to provide comfort and pure fun. It’s worth to note that sizing of the latter starts at EU26, which means that even three years old children can use them! Apart from that, the Chaya Bliss Kids model comes highly recommended for every young figurine skating fan out there – these skates will be a superb introduction into the sport. We even have something for kids who want to go faster – the Powerslide Glacier TT come with longer blade like one used in ice speed skating.
If you are looking for a pair for yourself, we got you covered. Our shop carries a wide selection of figurine skates – nothing on a pro level, but still a solid, well-made entry gear. Especially Chaya skates, which come in multiple eye-catching colours, deserve a spotlight in our opinion. Beginners at ice hockey will find something for themselves, too.
A lot of skaters, especially freeskaters, got so used to the way their inline skates fit, especially great ankle stability and heel lock, that they find the ice skating boots a bit awkward. For those people, converting their existing pair of wheeled-skates in to ice ones will work a treat – just take a look at affordable Powerslide Sabres blades that go in your frames instead of wheels. These have wide compatibility with frames, there are even ones made for triskates. If you have a Trinity mounting equipped boot and want something more high end, we have last pairs of excellent Trident blades in M size in stock.
Our crew share one love and name of that love is wheels under our feet. There’s no denying that during winter you are more likely to find us rolling in indoor skatepark (outside if it’s dry enough!) or similar place than gliding over ice on a local rink, but still, the latter sometimes happens. After all, there’s nothing better than watching your friends and family lose the fight against gravity and hit the ice of local rink, only to suffer the same fate moments later. For that, you do not need a pair of ice skates which cost about the same as average refrigerator – a reliable and solid basic ones will do. And that’s exactly what you’ll find in our shop!
