Bladerunner is a brand of ice and inline skates owned by Rollerblade. The Italian company constantly improves their products in pursuit of staying on bleeding edge of quality and technology in inline skating. This doesn’t mean that their older solutions and designs are obsolete and discarded when new ones are introduced – quite the opposite, they are used to provide a more budget focused, entry level line of products targeted towards customers who do not care about gear being absolute top-tier as long as it serves its’ purpose. And this is what Bladerunner skates are – solid, reliable designs which in most cases, debuted in mainline Rollerblade range several years ago.

When it comes to Bladerunner Ice skates, we’ll find not only very good, purely recreational models with rollerblade-like boot, but more classic figurine ones as well. These still are not professional level ice skates, mind you – but their quality in relation to price is pretty good and inviting for newcomers.

Diva is the best model of Bladerunner range of figurine ice skates. Intermediate and beginner recreational skaters will definitely like improvements over Aurora. Skates are made for more frequent use and longer sessions, while still maintaining relatively low price.

The boot is of classic template, with high cuff, which is additionally reinforced to provide required ankle support. It comes with flex notch, which improves forward flex, making skating easier. Padding is soft and thick, formed out of dual density foams and covered in synthetic fur. There is also an additional layer of Thinsulate material, which does a great job at keeping your feet warm even during extended skating session. PVC sole and upper are resistant to moisture and make the skates virtually maintenance-free. Lacing comes with hooks in upper part, which make is easy to put skates on and off, as well as tightening them efficiently.

As expected, we are getting a classic figurine style blade made of stainless steel. This time, though, it has been given extra flair, as it is anodized with rose gold. It is factory pre-sharpened, but we highly recommend giving it proper sharpening before first session on ice for the best experience.
