FR - Daria 2019 Inline Skates

FR Skates brand has emerged in 2018, however it is not hard to see that in fact it is a continuation of one of the most valued freestyle and freeskate brands – namely, Seba. After years of experimentation with all kinds of skates, from aggressive to fitness and speed ones, owners have decided to redefine their product line. FR Skates is more focused brand and relies on what was always a core of Seba line-up – solid skates for freeride and top end freestyle slalom skates.

Daria is a first freestyle slalom skate given as a pro-model to a female skater in history. Daria Kuznetsova is a world champion and a name well known to any freestyle slalom enthusiast - she has chosen a proven template of KSJ/WFSC/Trix skates as a base for her own model. The skate sports a fresh style which makes these skates standing out of the crowd. It is not a simple re-paint, though – it has been reworked to incorporate the very same cuff as used in current Igor boot instead of previous plastic triangle found in Seba models which used the same design.

Starting from the top of the skate, Daria is equipped with before mentioned cuff made out of carbon fiber – a unique feature in the world of skates, not used by any other brand. Its rigidity is much greater than of traditional cuffs made by injection of composite materials – this translates in to a superior lateral support and better responsiveness of the skates, making demanding tricks easier to perform.

Shell of the skate is also made out of carbon fibre which makes it durable, stiff, responsive and lightweight. Skate is based on 165mm mount and is compatible with most of the frames in that standard, also tri-wheeled ones. Heel of the skate is also raised to make sitting slalom tricks easier.

Skin of the boot is made of durable artificial leather, however it lacks reinforcement pieces known from Igor. This is because Daria are made as slalom skates first and foremost – the slimmer and more elegant design took priority here.

Skate comes with new Deluxe V3 frame of 243mm (for sizes EU40 and bigger) or 231mm (for sizes EU39 and smaller) length. The frame is the very best of what FR Skates have to offer, comes with pre-built rockering and is complete with Street Invaders II wheels and precise Twincam ILQ9 Slalom Pro bearings. This setup is held in high regard by many top contenders all over the world and makes Darias ready to skate between the cones out of the box.
