Product Description

Rockin’ Frames is a new German brand, specialised in making frames for a specific style of skating called Wizard/Flowskating. It is one of several companies surfacing after the original Wizard frames have gained a worldwide fame.

However, Rockin’ Frames are more than straightforward copies. Their creators have introduced several fresh ideas. First of all, these frames are UFS compatible. But they come with CNC milled aluminium adapter and required hardware (longer M6 and M8 bolts) to make them fit on 165 mm spacing, raised heel mounting boots. Thanks to it, you have a wider range of boot models to experiment with and you do not have to stick with just one mounting standard when you’ll want to get a new pair to couple with your frames. Recently, German brand has started developing 165 mm mounting only frames, too (also compatible with 150 mm and 180 mm spacings) but have no intention of withdrawing from their initial idea.

Another thing making Rockin’ Frames standing out of the crowd is wide range of colours. The company offers multiple options right from the start, contrary to other brands which have their frames available in raw aluminium look or black only. Thanks to it, they allow you to make your skates more unique and personalised when it comes to aesthetics. They also induce a spark of cheerful attitude to skating, which started to venture to “serious business” territory a bit too far in recent times. Remember – skating is, primarily, fun.

Of course, the real star of the show is rockering. It is similar concept to ones used in different frames of this type, but Rocking’ has not just copied someone’s else work. Their Natural Rocker option, used in four wheel frames, is relatively modest – the 1st wheel is raised only a bit more than 1 mm in relation to 2nd and 3rd, while 4th one is raised only for a bit less than 1 mm. This gives the same effect as skating flat for a several sessions without rotating the wheels. In theory, only two wheels touch the ground at the same time – but in reality, the urethane bends a bit under your weight, so all of them roll. However, these slight differences in wheel positions give you a softer, granular feeling of the rocker, unlike typical “banana” which uses outer wheels raised by 2 mm and feels more “jerky” as a result. In addition, all Rockin’ frames are designed to give you a bit of forward tilt, which makes them better suited for artistic type moves.

The last factor is their price. Rockin’ Frames is a European company and thus, their frames are a bit more affordable than counterparts made in North America. There are no additional import fees, that is. So, by choosing them over other brands you are not only supporting business closer to our home turf, you are also saving a bit of money!

The Rockin’ 4100 is the brand’s best-selling frame and it is easy to see why. The rockered, 4x frames taking up to 100 mm diameter wheels were one of the first wizard/flowskating models to appear on the market and are very versatile. No wonder that all brands which specialise in this type of skating have their own version of this setup in catalogues. Rockin 4100 will feel at home in urban skating, slides, long distance, skateparks and of course a bit of freestyle, flat ground wizardry. If all you want is just one pair of frames to skate it for years to come, Rockin’ 4100 are best pick out of all models made by Germans.

Manufacturer recommends this model for boot sizes in between 265 mm and 300 mm, however they will fit all boots compatible with one of the two mounting standards.
