Tempish Ice Skates

Tempish is a Czech brand established back in 1994, mostly known for inline skates. To address elephant in the room – yes, they are not really our thing when it comes to quality and thus, you won’t find their skates in our shop. But to give them credit where it’s due – they have been making moves to step up their game for several years now and most of their skates are above what you can buy on Aliexpress in terms of design and value. This rings even more true when you take into account that they tend to use proven, factory-owned designs available openly to all companies, some of which are used by bigger, more famous brands. Last but not least – Tempish are honest about their business model: The main goal of the company is to supply sports equipment for mass sports use. Our products are intended mostly for recreational, amateur and performance use, in some specific categories also for top level sport. They know their place. No one pretends that they can go toe to toe with the likes of Rollerblade or Powerslide.

Tempish is not only about inline skates, though! Czech company have ambition to branch out into new directions, including ice skating. In fact, ice skates have been in their catalogue for years now. These are not top-shelf offerings, but rather a budget recreational models of several types: hockey, figurine, softboot, hardboot and ones for kids. These are a solid alternative to renting skates, meant for people who will visit ice rink only few times per season and prefer to have their own pair of skates. Sometimes the rental skates at your nearest ice rink can be a bit dodgy – at poor condition, like hockey ones cracked in the ankle area. If all you skate is rec (and it is, if you are using rental skates, lets be honest here) and only a handful of times a year, it may be a better idea to get fairly priced skates for the purpose. It is like eating a fast food versus a good, filling home-made meal. It is not the same, but there are certain scenarios in which fast food is all you need, aren’t they?
