Product Description

Children's urban inline skates FR FR J Club - Black

FR Skates introduces its FR J model for children's urban inline skating, with the option of size adjustment. The brand continues its tradition of utilizing technology and designs from its most popular models in the production of children's skates, offering the quality and versatility known from the "adult" models to younger users. FR J club variant is more well rounded option of the skate, with better quality weels and 45 degree buckle instead of velcro strap.

Features of the FR FR J Club inline skates for kids

At first glance, the skates can be called "miniature FR3" without any exaggeration. The components are equivalents of what we know from the popular adult model - only appropriately scaled down for children.

  • Orthomove 3in1 insole – allowing to adjust the size of the liner - the child's foot can thus grow by up to two sizes before it becomes necessary to replace the skates with larger ones.
  • The Cuff is mounted on screws instead of rivets - meaning that it can be replaced. Skates are compatible with custom kits! Thanks to that, they can be modified to give them more vibrant look.
  • The rigid shell - made of durable material makes them durable and guarantees that they will meet the madness of the youngest freeskaters. The tested, solid, and rigid boot excellently supports the child's ankle joint.
  • Open shell – the skate shell has been cut out a bit more than is usually seen in this type of skate, which increases comfort, especially for users with a high instep.
  • The replaceable slider - serves as protection for the side of the boot aimed at minimizing damage while sliding on wheels.
  • 165 mm mounting standard  - boots are compatible with most frame models in this standard.
  • Comfortable, anatomically shaped liner - with the option of lacing at the top part, which allows for better foot retention.
  • Boot tightening is composed of laces, plastic buckle on cuff and 45 degree micrometric buckle on shell. This ensures snug and secure fit. It is worth to mention that hardboot makes skating easier for kids, as it prevents ankle bending..

231 mm frame and 4x76 mm wheel setup

The X2R frame, 231mm in length, equipped with four FR Downtown 76mm wheels, with Twincam MW7 Freeride bearings. The wheels have a reduced hardness, which increases the riding comfort for lighter users.

Frame length is a perfect fit for smaller foot sizes, ensuring that turning will not be a problem while still providing required stability. Moreover, X2R frame comes with a rockering system – you can tilt outer axles upwards, creating full rocker (“banana”) which is a standard setup for freestyle slalom. This makes FR J a great choice if your kid wants to try some cone slalom.

FR FR J Club – worth knowing!

FR FR J Club Inline skates are ready for future upgrade - it is possible to replace the chassis with one with larger wheels, or even install an even shorter, slalom frame of 219mm size. If the child wishes to specialize towards faster riding or freestyle, there is no need to immediately replace the entire skates – you can change the chassis to introduce the child to a new riding style in a boot in which they feel confident.

FR J Club are one of the best skates made for children and certainly great freeskates for younger users. They offer possibilities which traditional softboot style kids’ skates do not and are basically a smaller version of a well known and beloved skates for adults. The "Club" version brings multiple improvements over already impressive FR J skate, making it a superb overall package.

About manufacturer

Other products of this producer FR

FR Skates is second brand created by freestyle slalom legend, Sebastien Laffargue. It branched off from Seba in second half of year 2016 and includes mostly the freeskating range of skates taken from the predecessor, namely the FR line of skates. However, Sebastien has decided to take some of high-end freestyle slalom skates under new brand, like the highly regarded Igor for example. Thus, FR Skates have become a flagship brand of its creator and can be considered an aggregation of best products and ideas released under Seba label up to year 2016. It doesn’t mean that lower price offerings haven’t made the cut – the extremely popular entry level FRX are still available!

FR Skates continues Seba legacy of quality, wide availability of parts and innovation. Sebastien and his pals have hands full of work and try to push the sport in to new directions with FR Skates. It’s worth to mention an innovative concept of 90-72-72-90 freestyle slalom frames or that they’ve delivered a wide range of UFS based freeskating frames. The brand even makes super light and extra stiff full carbon frames – of course, it’s not the first company to make frames out of this material, but the first to use the technology to make frames for cone slalom.

FR Skates brand gains momentum with every new product and is on the way to eclipse achievements of its precursor, Seba. They truly have something for every freeskating or freestyle slalom enthusiast – be it solid entry level skates for newcomers, models for those who demand a lot from the equipment, people who like unconventional hardware and those who prefer sticking with classic setups.
