FR Skates is a company that was born by branching off another inline skating powerhouse, the Seba brand. Just like progenitor, it is an endeavour led by freestyle slalom legend: Sebastien Laffargue. He took the very best of Seba’s offering, namely the best-seller FR line of urban skates and top end freestyle slalom models and used that as a foundation to start new brand. The product range has grown since then and nowadays it even includes skates for children and parts dedicated for downhill skating. Without a shadow of doubt, the FR Skates have eclipsed Seba.

Some people may ask why this split has happened in the first place? The details were never made public and there’s no point speaking about rumours, but as one can imagine, there was some kind of feud between business partners. It looks like both parties have settled since then and Sebastien still works with Seba to some degree.
