By introducing the pioneering Decode frames to the market, the Iqon brand simultaneously presents a new solution in the field of inline skate bearings. This revolutionary technology includes an innovative connection between Iqon Decode frames and bearings.
How do Iqon Decode bearings differ from standard bearings?
Specially designed Iqon Decode bearings have internal, extended rings that act like a bearing hub. In the case of Iqon Decode frames, this allows for various configuration options with incredibly low friction.
Are Iqon Decode bearings dedicated only to Iqon frames?
Unlike practically all other products of this type on the market, Iqon Decode frames are not equipped with integrated bearing hubs — which traditionally protrude from the inside of the frame wall to keep the bearing in place. Therefore, Iqon Decode frames are only compatible with dedicated Iqon Decode bearings. However, if you use frames from other manufacturers, but would still like to check out the unique properties of Iqon Decode bearings, just turn the bearings to the inside, insert the included, shorter 7 mm spacer and you're set!
Iqon Decode bearings can thus be used just like standard 608 bearings, however, to fully realize their potential, they should be used in conjunction with versatile Iqon Decode frames.
The set includes 12x bearings and 6x 7.25 mm spacers (compatible with frames from other manufacturers).

For example, Decode frames lack bearing bosses (spacers) in between frame walls and bearings. This allows designers to place axles wherever they want. The trade-off is that these frames require dedicated, proprietary Decode bearings, however, their versatility is simply unmatched. Even the shortest version allows for four different wheel setups, some of which can be both flat or rockered.
What would you say about having environmentally friendly wheels? Apart from classic IQON line of wheels, the brand also offers ones made out of recycled materials and with addition of cornstarch to reduce amount of oil-derived polyurethane. Apart from that, company makes high quality skates, both urban and aggressive.
