Powerslide Next 110 - Charcoal inline skates
The Powerslide Next 110 - Charcoal with Combat Rocker frame is a new and improved version of this iconic inline skate setup with 4x90 wheels. The Next 90 Charcoal was designed for fast, dynamic urban skating but also for more "artistic" flatland wizardry. Previous versions with the 4x90 setup were popular for their exceptionally stable base and the relatively low distance of the foot from the ground. The new Combat Rocker 4x90 frame makes these skates even better.
Equipped with Spinner wheels made of Super High Rebound urethane, Wicked Abec 9 bearings, MYFIT Reaction Dual Fit liner, and micro-adjustable 45-degree buckles. The Powerslide Next 110 - Charcoal model stands out for its agility at high speeds. Thanks to the low center of gravity and three 110 mm diameter wheels, it is also a good choice for those looking for skates for longer distances.
Features of Powerslide Next 110 - Charcoal inline skates
The Powerslide Next 110 - Charcoal model is a great option for skaters of all levels. Thanks to the Trinity mount we are as low to the ground as possible making the skates much easier to control.
- High laced shell (hockey-style) with two buckles holds your feet firmly in place. Powerslide took great care in making the NEXT boot as customizable as possible, allowing you to adjust it to your anatomy and preferences.
- Micro adjustable 45-degree buckle along with a traditional lacing system so you can customize the fit and tightness of your skates to suit your preferences and match your individual skating style.
- Cuff is equipped with canting system allowing for four different positions, which can be used to counter unwanted bending of your ankles to the sides, or simply give more or less ankle movement freedom depending on the height. Moreover, both cuff and the shell can be cut along factory made marking lines, to give skate more flexibility for those who prefer it.
- Front part of the shell is protected by a replaceable plastic strip which covers not only the sides of the skates, like traditional sliders, but also the tip.
- MyFit Reaction Dual Fit liner — specifically designed with this shell in mind, with goal of increasing comfort by lowering the overall liner volume, while increasing ankle support and making sure that this won’t cause any unwanted pressure points.
Reaction Liner and Combat rocker frame
Reaction liners - two layers of foam, the softer memory one, which provides comfort, and more rigid EVA, which plays a big role in overall support provided by the skate. Interestingly, Powerslide have opted for casted urethane tongue. It is perforated to let moisture out and greatly contributes to overall comfort and the way the skate locks your heel. The outer material is artificial, PU leather, with trademark feature of MyFit liners, the patches to prevent damage from cuff and buckles mounting hardware.
Combat Rocker frame - made out of aircraft 6061 aluminium alloy, extruded and CNC machined for nice finish. It comes with two levels of structural bridges for unmatched rigidity. This is truly best of the best when it comes to extruded aluminium urban frames.
Of course, Combat frame uses Trinity mounting standard, which adds to overall strength of the whole skate, by making frame and boot connection far more solid than traditional two point mount.
A unique feature of Combat Rocker frames is ability to adjust the axles position – there are six positions to choose from. Thanks to hexagonal spacer design, you have a more granular level of adjustment. You can set rockering to be very subtle, or more extreme if you like.
Powerslide Next 110 - Charcoal - worth knowing!
Frame rockering options allows a lot of freedom when it comes to positioning the wheels in relation to each other. This is a huge advantage here for several reasons, with most important one being: agility. You can really adjust the wheel setup to your liking and even use the rockering to tilt the skate forward, for more aggressive stance. There are multiple possibilities and frame invites you to experiment with them, but there's also one thing worth highlighting in more detail.
The Next 90 Charcoal come with 290 mm long frame in all boot sizes – this may seem like too big of a frame for people with smaller feet. That’s where rockering comes into play. Thanks to it, you can shorten the distance between wheels a bit and raise the front wheel to make the skate more manoeuvrable.
Powerslide Next 110 - Charcoal is a optimal skate for demanding users who value customization options, but thanks to low setup height and outstanding level of comfort, newcomers to urban skating love it too.
If you are looking for the versatile, insanely fast, agile, high quality setup for urban skating and flatland freestyle moves, which is packed full of features allowing you to tweak it to your liking – new Next 110 Charcoal with Combat rocker frames are the best answer to your needs, that’s not even a contest.
About manufacturer
Powerslide is one of industry’s leaders even though it is relatively young company – it has been founded in year 1994. The Germany based brand has entered the market at height of inline skating’s popularity, at the time when market was flooded with low quality skates which could be described as toys rather than sport equipment. From the very beginning, Powerslide had one goal: to break the perception of inline skating being a leisure activity for kids and to promote it as a sport for everyone. That’s not a surprise considering that company’s owner, Matthias Knoll, is a skater himself. As speedskating contender, he breathes this sport and his love for it has been fuelling Powerslide for over 25 years.
If we were to describe Powerslide in three words, these would be: quality, variety and innovation. From the very beginning of company’s existence, Germans have challenged industry’s giants and competed with them in field of quality. Nowadays they are in lead of the pack when it comes to technology: heatmoldable liners and boots, compressed carbon shells, revolutionary Trinity mounting – these things are relatively fresh and competition is yet to respond. Looking back, Powerslide was the first company to introduce carbon freestyle skate with integrated padding. They were the first company to introduce carbon based aggressive skate. 125mm wheels were introduced to speedskating thanks to them. The introduction of Kizer Advance frame and then Level 2 made a big impact and lead to rapid evolution of aggressive flat frames. Germans were the first company to make triskates a significant part of their offering, starting a new trend. Nowadays, Powerslide are the only company that makes real off-road skates (not to be confused with off-road rollerskis).
This pursuit of change and improvement is unique – no other company in this industry is having a boss willing to take even the craziest of ideas and concepts to production stage. Powerslide also have, without a shadow of doubt, the richest catalogue of products among all skating companies; covering even the most niche equipment made for freestyle slalom, downhill and inline alpine. They have full range of accessories and parts: helmets, protection pads, wheels, bearings, frames and so on. The company is also making rollerskates, providing recreational, roller derby and skatepark models and equipment. It can be safely said that if Powerslide is not making something skating related, chances of other companies having it in their offer are slim to none.
Powerslide have an impressive brand portfolio: MyFit liners, Wicked bearings, Reign hockey skates, USD aggressive skates, Kizer frames, Undercover wheels, Matter wheels, Gawds boots, wheels and softgoods, Prime wheels, Juice rollerskates wheels, Chaya rollerskates, Ennui protection and many others.
What makes Powerslide special are company’s people and supporters who create a community around it. Germans support and cooperate with skaters all around the globe. International Powerslide Team is composed of names every inline skating fan should be familiar with and believe us - there are far too many to list them here.
