Product details
Rollerblade Fury skates are made for those who look for a skate which is halfway there between fitness, entry-level models and fully featured freeskates for kids. The base previously used in Bladerunner Phoenix has been modified and now the upper cap is made out of plastic composite, enclosing the skate. Inside resides classic liner. This type of boot provides better foot protection as well responsiveness to user’s movements, which in turn makes makes skates way easier to control.
The base of Fury is an unibody concept – the bottom of the boot and frame are a single moulded part. This gives them increased rigidity and improves energy transfer on push. A supportive cuff attached by rivets and prevents unwanted bending in ankles – if the top buckle is close corretly, of course. Support is one of the most important factors when it comes to choosing skates for kids.
As we have already mentioned, the upper part of the boot is a plastic toecap. Thanks to button at the side of the skate, you can move it forward and backwards to adjust size. There are three size ranges to choose from: EU29-EU33, EU33-EU38 and EU36.5-EU40.5. Of course, this means that children can use the same pair of skates for more than one season. The shell is laced and 45 degree Velcro is used to secure the heel in place. Rollerblade have created a comfortable, anatomically shaped liner to make sure nothing ruins the fun of skating.
Fury comes with 72 mm wheels in all sizes. Their hardness is 80A, which is common in skates for kids – provides good roll and grip. The wheels are round profile which, coupled with low centre of gravity, makes these skates very stable. It is worth to note that boots EU33-EU38 and EU36.5-EU40.5 can fit up to 76 mm wheels. Skates come with SG3 bearings, which are the basic ones in Rollerblade’s line-up.
The Rollerblade’s attempt at creating a hardboot skate for children at affordable price has been a success. The Fury are excellent value skates and they are easily one of the best options at their pricepoint.
About manufacturer
Rollerblade is one of the most iconic brands in the inline skating world, known for popularizing inline skates in the 1980s and 1990s. The brand was founded in 1980 by two hockey-playing brothers, Scott and Brennan Olson, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They initially created inline skates as a way to train for ice hockey during the off-season. Their design featured a line of wheels in a single frame, allowing for smoother movement and greater maneuverability. As Rollerblade's popularity grew, it sparked a global inline skating boom in the 1990s, becoming synonymous with the sport itself.
