About manufacturer
Impala is a new brand focused on retro stylised skating gear – aiming to recreate look and feel of equipment from 80’s and 90’s. It was a golden age of devices with urethane wheels underneath and a lot of people still feel nostalgia for these times. The company offers a wide range of skateboard, lonboards, rollerskates and inline skates made to look like something taken straight out of Venice Beach pavements.
There is no way to hide the fact that Impala inline skates are not high-tech or industry leading when it comes to features. Complexity is exchanged for simplicity and skates themselves are a great throwback to iconic models from the past, such as Roces FCO or Rollerblade Lightning. This have its advantage – the skates have fresh, clean look and are ready to roll right after taking them out of the box. Lace them, close the top buckle and skate, simple as that. We recommend them to everyone who is missing simpler times of more carefree life and want to get back to them for a brief moment. Furthermore – these are pretty solid hardboots and look well too. Not a bad choice for a first pair of skates!
When it comes to rollerskates, we get a similar deal. Fun comes first. Their price is very attractive, but gear itself is solid and more than enough for amateur, leisure ride. The main advantage of Impala rollerskates over different brands is the multitude of colour options. Surely you'll find one for yourself. Impala eenters collaborations with interesting people and brands to create their skates, too. Worth mention is Marawa Rose Gold rollerskates and protection gear, created in cooperation with rollerskater, hula hooper, designer, writer, artist, gymnast and a world record holder. Yup, you've read that right - Marawa the Amazing is the only person on surface of earth to spin 200 hula hoops simultaneously. In her free time, she enjoys roller disco, so she was the perfect fit to make some shiny skates with. Another interesting example is Cynthia Rowley Floral model, made in cooperation with world-famous fashion designer, Cynthia Rowley. It is pretty obvious that when it comes to rollerskates, Impala bets on Style with capital "S".
