Intuition - Skate Liner V2

Skate V2 is an improved successor to hugely popular Intuition Skate liner that reshaped the inner boot market. Same as before, the tech is derived from skiing and water sports boots, although this time it is backed by a feedback of numerous skaters who put hundreds of hours in to testing first version. The result is even better fitting and more efficient liner which gives unmatched level of control and energy transfer.

V2 is made to be a better fit for narrower shells, which means it feels as much at home in freeskates as it does in aggressive boots. Toe area is made out of thinner but denser foam to prevent any issues in shells with narrow toe box. Mid-foot area is now made out of low-volume foam to eliminate any potential pressure points or discomfort in slim boots. Thanks to superb quality of foams used and patented technology, the liner is very light.

Although it is perfectly fine to take V2 out of the box, put in to your shells and go skating, you may want to spend some time to take full advantage of features such as:

Heat-moldable: you can skate them “raw” and break them in traditional way, but if you want to get your Intuitions to fit your feet and the shells best as possible, just “bake” them. The process can be repeated multiple times to accommodate different skates.

Two different cuff wraps: this addition reinforces the cuff area as well as gives it more volume to fill the wider shells better. You can choose between two different thicknesses (which also have different rigidity) or skate without this element at all.

Shock absorber: optional, wedge shaped insert attached under the heel via Velcro. Good for those who want to raise heel a bit or use it instead of shock pad which comes stock with the shells.

Lacing: you can lace the liner for even closer fit.

Without a shadow of doubt: Intuition Skate V2 is not only one of the best, if not THE best skates liners money can buy, it’s also an investment. Forget stock liners that get floppy and are full of holes after two seasons of skating – this liner is so durable, it is almost indestructible when compared to everything else on the market and can serve you for years of intense skating. Seriously – there are skaters out there, real shredders, who skate the same pair of first version Intuitions for almost 8 years now, and they still hold up.

No wonder that other companies in the industry want to have a piece of premium liner market cake and try to make their own alternatives to Intuition’s iconic product. However, the bar is set incredibly high and the Canadian brand liner is the one to remain a reference point, to compare everything else with, for a long time. We wholeheartedly recommend this inner boot to everyone who owns a pair of hardboots and want to extract more performance, control and comfort out of their skates.
