Seba High Light Inline Skates

8 items

Seba High Light line of skates is in fact two separate branches. The first one stems from original Seba High – the first ever model designed from ground-up with freestyle slalom in mind. Seba High still had a liner which you could take out and replace if needed.

The Light version, introduced later, have more streamlined design with integrated padding. The base shell is composite and has been given one minor facelift about 10 years ago. No surprises here – it is a pretty good design. In this day and age, Seba High Light are still pretty good slalom skates for those who do not want to drop premium price on carbon-based boots. They are also a decent choice for freeskating. Truth to be told, they are basically the only successful model occupying a space between plastic hardboots and carbon based skates with integrated padding. They come with several useful features and will do nicely in both urban environment and between the cones.

Seba High Light Carbon is another story entirely. They underwent a significant evolution over the years, having roots in Seba High Light Carbon model. These skates was a carbon shell version of regular High, coming with separate liner, still, but was short lived. The High Light Carbon came pretty quickly (although after release of Igor, which came out first) and over the years were significantly reworked. Everything, from shell shape, through outer skin and inner padding down to the cuff is different than in early versions.

Nowadays, High Light Carbon skates are top tier of Seba’s freestyle range, after models like Trix and Igor were moved to FR Skates. You can even say that new Sea High Light are 1:1 match in terms of design to pre-FR Skates, Seba Igors, which underwent major changes after the split of the brands. So, they are perfect choice for fans of the older pro-models of Mr Cheremetieff. If you are looking for a pair of high quality freestyle slalom skates or carbon based ones for freeskating, it is worth to give them a go.
