Product details
Freeskates are undoubtedly the most versatile type of them all. If you look for a (very) affordable pair of comfortable hardboot skates you can trust, you should consider getting Seba E3 80. They will allow you to learn variety of tricks and are a good pick no matter if you more of a freeride fan or into freestyle slaom.
Seba E3 80 – for whom?
Seba E3 80 are excellent skates for beginners in freeskating and even more advanced riders who want a solid gear without dropping premium money on it. They can also be used to learn freestyle slalom tricks on and serve as great alternative to FRX models if you find the latter too narrow, especially in toe area.
Seba E3 80 - why?
Strong hardboot shell – skates with plastic shells are considered the most universal of them all. They not only secure your feet from injury, but also provide better responsiveness and energy transfer than softboot counterparts. A pair of solid hardboot skates will last you many years, even if you won’t go easy on them!
Perfect amount of ankle support – cuff is made out of the same rigid material as lower part of the shell, doing superb job at stabilizing your ankle during skating. Because cuff is attached via two screws acting as a pivot point, front to back ankle movement isn’t hampered, making skating much easier.
Reliable closure – Seba E3 80 come with classic lacing, which works really well as eyelets go above the ankle. Velcro strap does a great job at preventing heel lift and top buckle provides firm closure and much needed cuff support.
Excellent comfort – Seba E3 80 have shell with generous width, meaning that majority of users will be able to skate without any unwanted pressure points. Furthermore, it is an “open shell” design, wit a rather big cut-out at the top, making these skates excellent pick even for people with high instep. Anatomically shaped liner wraps around your foot providing comfort and allows lacing in upper part for even better fit. Notably, it is the most “vented” freeskating boot out there, so if you want to feel a breeze on your feet, there’s no better pick.
Aluminum X2R frame with 80mm wheels - an excellent option for those who want versatile skates for urban commuting. The relatively short frame provides great maneuverability, while the wheel size offers a good compromise between acceleration, top speed, and low center of gravity.
Rockerable outer axles – it is possible to lift the two outer wheels by 2mm, which gives us a setup similar to a curve of ice hockey blades. This so-called banana rocker significantly increases maneuverability at the expense of stability. It is a setup used in freestyle slalom skating, and the Seba E3 are also suitable for taking the first steps in this discipline.
82A hardness wheels - the decreased hardness compared to the models used in more expensive freeskates provides better vibration dampening and grip, which comes in handy for absolute beginners. The full, round profile ensures excellent stability during skating.
Seba E3 80 – worth to know.
Replaceable frame - the frame is attached to the boot with two strong screws with a spacing of 165mm and heel raised by about 10mm. This is a very popular mounting standard in freeskates and allows for changing the frame to a different one.
Better control - the skates allow for adjusting the position of the frame under the boot. Proper alignment relative to our anatomy improves:
- balance
- responsiveness
- riding comfort
Compatibility with Seba and FR Skates brakes - the skates are sold without a brake, but it is possible to attach brakes from the two mentioned brands. Dedicated axles for the X2R frame are also required. If you want to get skates with a brake and need assistance in choosing the right parts when placing an order, please contact our customer service.

About manufacturer

Seba Skates is a highly recognized brand in the inline skating community, particularly known for its freestyle slalom skates. Its story dates back to 2005, when French freestyle champion Sébastien Laffargue decided to create skates specifically tailored to the demands of this dynamic discipline. At the time, the market was dominated by all-purpose models that did not meet slalom’s specialized needs, so Laffargue developed a line of skates designed to fill this gap.
From its inception, Seba has prioritized high-quality construction and top-notch performance, focusing on control and efficiency. These skates quickly gained a following among freestyle slalom and urban skating enthusiasts, especially thanks to ongoing innovations such as customizable components (adjustable cuffs, diverse frames, and liners). Around 2019, a new brand — FR Skates was introduced, and part of Seba’s existing lineup was split between the two companies. From then on, each brand has evolved independently, although they continue to share certain technological solutions.
Today, Seba Skates offers a wide range of models: from basic urban skates (Seba E3) to those designed for aggressive and wizard skating (Seba CJ), as well as integrated boot options (Seba GT, High Light). In the freestyle slalom category, standouts include the Seba Trix and High Light Carbon, while long-distance enthusiasts can opt for the Seba Marathon. The brand also caters to young skaters with children’s models like the Seba J and ST MX. Thanks to this diverse portfolio, everyone—from beginners to experts—can find a suitable pair of Seba skates.
