Product Description

Freeskates are undoubtedly the most versatile type of them all. If you look for affordable pair of comfortable hardboot skates to get kids into the sport, you should definitely consider Seba E3 Junior.

Seba E3 Junior – for whom?

Seba E3 Junior are excellent skates for kids to learn basics on, but they are also much more. Seeing that they have a rigid, supportive shell, these are perfect picks for freeskating and even basic skatepark tricks. They can also be used to learn freestyle slalom tricks on and serve as great alternative to FRX models if you find the latter too narrow, especially in toe area.

Seba E3 Junior - why?

Strong hardboot shell – skates with plastic shells are considered the most universal of them all. They not only secure your feet from injury, but also provide better responsiveness and energy transfer than softboot counterparts. A pair of solid hardboot skates will last you many years, even if you won’t go easy on them!

Perfect amount of ankle support – cuff is made out of the same rigid material as lower part of the shell, doing superb job at stabilizing your ankle during skating. Because cuff is attached via two screws acting as a pivot point, front to back ankle movement isn’t hampered, making skating much easier.

Reliable closure – Seba E3 Junior come with classic lacing, which works really well couple with Velcro strap. Top buckle provides firm closure and much needed cuff support.

Excellent comfort – Seba E3 Junior have shell with generous width, meaning that majority of users will be able to skate without any unwanted pressure points. Furthermore, it is an “open shell” design, wit a rather big cut-out at the top, making these skates excellent pick even for people with high instep. Anatomically shaped liner wraps around your foot providing comfort and allows lacing in upper part for even better fit. Notably, it is the most “vented” freeskating boot out there, so if you want to feel a breeze on your feet, there’s no better pick.

Size adjustment - while skates have solid shell, you can adjust the size using three included insoles.

Aluminum X2R frame with 76 mm wheels - an excellent option for those who want versatile skates for urban commuting. The relatively short frame provides great maneuverability, while the wheel size offers a good compromise between acceleration, top speed, and low center of gravity.

Rockerable outer axles – it is possible to lift the two outer wheels by 2mm, which gives us a setup similar to a curve of ice hockey blades. This so-called banana rocker significantly increases maneuverability at the expense of stability. It is a setup used in freestyle slalom skating, and the Seba E3 Junior are also suitable for taking the first steps in this discipline.

82A hardness wheels - the decreased hardness compared to the models used in more expensive freeskates provides better vibration dampening and grip, which comes in handy for absolute beginners. The full, round profile ensures excellent stability during skating.

Seba E3 Junior – worth to know.

Replaceable frame - the frame is attached to the boot with two strong screws with a spacing of 165mm and heel raised by about 10mm. This is a very popular mounting standard in freeskates and allows for changing the frame to a different one.

Better control - the skates allow for adjusting the position of the frame under the boot. Proper alignment relative to our anatomy improves:

  • balance
  • responsiveness
  • riding comfort

Compatibility with Seba and FR Skates brakes - the skates are sold without a brake, but it is possible to attach brakes from the two mentioned brands. Dedicated axles for the X2R frame are also required. If you want to get skates with a brake and need assistance in choosing the right parts when placing an order, please contact our customer service.

About manufacturer

Other products of this producer Seba

Seba was founded in year 2005 by a French freestyle slalom champion, Sebastien Laffargue. Since early days, the brand has been striving for innovation and growth of both freestyle slalom and freeskating. It is safe to say that without Seba, both disciplines would be in a very different place. It was Seba whom introduced first carbon shell freestyle slalom skate in to the market, in the form of Seba High Carbon, although still with replaceable liner. It was the first freeskating company really paying attention to frame mounting system - nowadays metal plates with frame position adjustment are common, but back in the day they were almost exclusive to Seba models. Seba also introduced cuff canting system in to hardboots, made the very first skates with carbon cuff, first pre-rockered frames for slalom and offered customers a variety of freeskating setups in times when competition sticked to usual 4x80mm wheels in 243mm frames for their skates.

Although Seba brought many innovations in to the skating, for the majority of their history they were laser-focused on just two disciplines - freeskating and freestyle slalom. This has changed in 2013, when they've introduced Seba CJ, a carbon based aggressive boot, that lead to creation of freeride SX model and finally - Leon Basin putting together his very first Wizard skate. Over the years, the company has tried to expand in different directions, with marathon skates and now-discounted GT line which was an attempt to enter fitness market. These "experiments" weren't successful, but their failure put Seba back on track, making them once again focused on their core market, delivering even better products. Few years back the company founder took a large part of Seba catalogue and started a new brand, FR Skates. This has, understably, caused some confusion among customers, but important thing is that effectively, all iconic Seba skates are still being made, under old or new label.

Seba is actively supporting freestyle slalom communities worldwide, being a major sponsor of WSSA league, releasing pro-skates and supporting talents. On customer level, the brand is known for wide availability of replacement parts and reliable, quality gear.
