Product details
Kids Hockey Skates – Designed for ice rink use and playing hockey at an amateur level several times a week. The Tacks series skates are engineered to maximize the efficiency and power of every move on the ice. The skates support long and strong pushes, which are key to achieving high speed and efficiency while skating. Compared to the lower model 550, the Tacks 560 skate is stiffer and has a thicker tongue, thus offering greater comfort and better performance during skating.
Tacks 560 JR – Features a lightweight and durable boot made with 3D Injection technology with a hardness of 125, comfortable HD microfiber lining, a thickened felt tongue, and the raised dynamic CCM Speedblade runner. The 560 JR model is available in full sizes 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0, 11.0, 12.0 and in Regular width - for the classic foot that is neither very wide nor very narrow. The CCM Speedblade runner comes pre-sharpened.
CCM Tacks 560 SR Hockey Skates for Kids
Recreation and Hockey Playing – The Tacks 560 JR skates are created for those who skate recreationally and beginner amateur hockey players who hit the ice several times a week. The lower hardness of the boot compared to higher models in the series means that the skate is more forgiving of technical mistakes while still providing good performance during skating. The TACS 560 JR allows you to gradually perfect your skills during skating and enables you to play hockey at an amateur level.
CCM Tacks 560 – Why Choose Them?
- Durable Boot – The boot is made using 3D Injection technology. It has an ergonomically shaped fit to the foot, which translates to better comfort and control over the skates while skating. The textured outer layer of the boot increases its resistance to wear.
- Stiffness – A solid core with a hardness of 125 provides very good performance and energy transfer during skating. Such hardness still does not require the user to have perfect technique, making the Tacks 560 model great for skating and fun at the rink, as well as playing hockey several times a week.
- HD Microfiber Lining – The combination of the 3D Injection boot and comfortable microfiber lining offers high resistance to wear while also providing great comfort and durability. The material of the lining also helps wick moisture away from the body, keeping it dry during movement.
- 7mm Felt Tongue – The tongue made of 7mm thick felt improves comfort while tying. The top layer of the tongue has been covered with foam and material that reduces pressure with tightly tied laces.
- CCM Footbed – The classic foam footbed provides good support and comfort during skating.
- CCM Speedblade – The runner mounting has been raised to increase the attack angle, giving better and stronger push-offs during skating.
- CCM Laces – The CCM laces allow for precise and tight tying of the skates, increasing control and fit.
- Pre-sharpened – The manufacturer CCM has pre-sharpened the skates so that they are ready to use right out of the box.
- Regular Width – For users with a classic foot structure. The skates are best suited for a moderate foot volume, where they will provide the right fit and comfort.
CCM Tacks 560 – Remember
Sharpening – The Tacks 560 JR skates are ready to skate. In case of blade dulling, remember to regularly sharpen them so that the skates maintain their properties on the ice.
To prevent damage to the runners during transport and to protect against cuts, equip your skates with additional blade guards.
The Tacks 560 model is a good choice if you want to develop your skills. These skates will provide you with good performance on the ice and help to ignite your spirit of amateur competition during hockey games.
About manufacturer
CCM is a Canadian hockey skates and gear manufacturer with history dating back to end of XIX century. It may be a surprise to many, but at the very beginning, the company has been focused on making bicycles and ...auto-mobiles. Company’s story is rich and full of unexpected turns of events, some of which can make you scratch your head wondering how it even survived up to this day. CCM stands for Canada Cycle and Motor Co.
By the end of XIX and beginning of XX centuries, bicycle market has became pretty saturated, pushing four smaller manufacturers in to consolidation under CCM banner. Because bicycles were no longer sold in high numbers, the company has started to make auto-mobiles, seeing that they were still pretty primitive and didn’t require much of investment in new production line machines. The Russel Motor brand was born, but in less than decade from releasing their first car, it has went its own way as a separate legal entity.
CCM was left with stockpile of raw materials (and scrap metal) from production of bicycles and cars, as well as no feasible way to put these resources in use for further production. Hockey skates and other equipment weren’t really a high tech gear back then, so owners turned their attention towards the most Canadian of all sports. After all, they had plenty of steel, leather and wood.
Another pivotal point was acquisition of hockey boot patent for a design created by boot manufacturer George Tackaberry. His boots were highly popular among professional hockey players. When George passed away, his wife sold the patent right to CCM and this is how flagship line of skates called TACKS was made.
Further down the line, the company went bankrupt, got bought out, changed owners multiple times, worked in toy manufacturing industry for a while, been acquired by Rebook and in turn, Adidas, only to be sold once again back in 2017. That is some turbulent history, but one thing remains consistent – CCM is one of the best and biggest hockey gear manufacturers in the world. In reality, there is only one company that can trade blows with it – Bauer, of course.
