Product Description

Impala is a new brand focused on retro stylised skating gear – aiming to recreate look and feel of equipment from 80’s and 90’s. It was a golden age of devices with urethane wheels underneath and a lot of people still feel nostalgia for these times. The company offers a wide range of skateboard, lonboards, rollerskates and inline skates made to look like something taken straight out of Venice Beach pavements.

One of the first products released under Impala Brand were the rollerskates and to this day, they remain a tent pole of the company’s catalogue. Impala is not targeting the high-end, cutting edge tech market but instead focuses on making solid rollerskates at affordable prices. The goal is to provide beginners with good looking skates which are fun to ride and it has been achieved in 100%! The strong point of Impala’s catalogue is variety of colour and pattern options – you can easily choose a pair of rollerskates that fit your personal style.

The classic, high cut boot is made out of PVC material and the same goes for the sole. No animal derived products are used to make the skates. These are PETA approved! The foams are shaped to be comfortable out of the box, without long break-in period. Skates come with traditional lacing up to the height of ankle bones and lace hooks above, on the cuff. This allows you to lace them with the amount of ankle freedom you prefer, from tight support to loose fit giving you a wide range of ankle movement. The stock laces are strong and wide.

The boot is placed on aluminum casted plate with trucks made out of the same material - this is a nice surprise, as may rollerskates in this price bracket use ones made from plastics. Depending on the skate colourway, these elements are coated in chrome or gold. The truck cushions are of medium hardness, giving a good balance between stability and turnability, plus making sure that even beginners won’t have problems with controlling the skates. Plate comes with classic toe stopper.

The wheels in Impala rollerskates come in 58 mm size, which makes for a good balance between speed and control. The 82A hardness and nylon core make them roll really smooth. They come with ABEC7 bearings.

To sum it up: if you are after a pair of good looking rollerskatec for chill ride or roller disco – Impala skates deliver!

There is no way to hide the fact that Impala inline skates are not high-tech or industry leading when it comes to features. Complexity is exchanged for simplicity and skates themselves are a great throwback to iconic models from the past, such as Roces FCO or Rollerblade Lightning. This have its advantage – the skates have fresh, clean look and are ready to roll right after taking them out of the box. Lace them, close the top buckle and skate, simple as that. We recommend them to everyone who is missing simpler times of more carefree life and want to get back to them for a brief moment. Furthermore – these are pretty solid hardboots and look well too. Not a bad choice for a first pair of skates!

When it comes to rollerskates, we get a similar deal. Fun comes first. Their price is very attractive, but gear itself is solid and more than enough for amateur, leisure ride. The main advantage of Impala rollerskates over different brands is the multitude of colour options. Surely you'll find one for yourself. Impala eenters collaborations with interesting people and brands to create their skates, too. Worth mention is Marawa Rose Gold rollerskates and protection gear, created in cooperation with rollerskater, hula hooper, designer, writer, artist, gymnast and a world record holder. Yup, you've read that right - Marawa the Amazing is the only person on surface of earth to spin 200 hula hoops simultaneously. In her free time, she enjoys roller disco, so she was the perfect fit to make some shiny skates with. Another interesting example is Cynthia Rowley Floral model, made in cooperation with world-famous fashion designer, Cynthia Rowley. It is pretty obvious that when it comes to rollerskates, Impala bets on Style with capital "S".
