Product details
K2 Surge 80 urban inline skates with a 243 mm frame and 80 mm wheels are an extremely versatile design, allowing you to fully exploit your potential and learn many riding styles. With the Surge 80 model, you will easily master the basics of slalom riding, play tag or hockey with friends, finishing with fast urban riding rich in sudden turns and tight corners. All this is thanks to the agile frame and stiff boot. Surge is available in sizes 36.5, 38, 39.5, 40.5, 42, 43.5, 44.5, 46, and 48.
Surge 80 is the model that opens the family of the latest K2 urban inline skates. Alongside the higher K2 Grid model, these are the first hard-boot skates from this manufacturer. Surge was created with the comfort and pleasure of freeskate riding in mind. The comfortable K2 Liner with speed lacing system, Vortech ventilation, and the stiff aluminum frame ensure that the skate will provide comfort and great riding sensations to every skater.
K2 Surge 80 Urban Inline Skates
K2 Surge 80 inline skates are a good choice for both advanced and beginner users. They offer high performance, customization options, comfort, and control, regardless of the skill level. The low center of gravity means that it is an excellent choice for someone looking for their first pair of inline skates.
By creating the Surge 80 inline skates, the manufacturer utilized its rich experience and innovations borrowed from rollerblades and ski boots. The skate features a durable shell and a liner tailored to the anatomy of the foot. Additionally, they come with easy-to-use aluminum buckles and a liners speed lacing system. High-quality ILQ 5 bearings combined with 82A hardness wheels and a lightweight aluminum frame provide efficient energy transfer and low rolling resistance.
K2 Surge 80 Inline Skates - Why Choose?
- K2 Hard Shell - Unlike soft inline skates, it effectively secures and stiffens the foot, providing better control and energy transfer during rides. The open shell construction with medium width reduces pressure points. The Surge model can be a good choice for individuals with wide and classic foot structure with high arches. The boot of the Surge model is made from a polypropylene composite and TPE cuffs.
- Vortech Ventilation - Built-in ventilation channels in the shell bring air to the liner and cool the foot during long roller sessions.
- Buckle Closures - Aluminum buckles facilitate putting on and taking off the skates and keep the foot in the correct position. This prevents the heel from lifting.
- K2 Liner - The classic liner provides very good, anatomical fit to the shape of the foot and high comfort during use.
- Liner Speed Lacing System - Additional laces inside the liner better adjust it to your foot, giving you greater control over the skates. With the Speed Lacing system, you can tie the liner with one pull of the laces. The tongue handle makes it easier to put on and take off the skates.
- Aluminum Frame - A rigid frame made of 6061 aluminum provides control and good energy transfer for dynamic and precise riding. Single-sided steel 8mm diameter axles make wheel removal easier.
- Frame Position Adjustment - The frame is connected to the boot using a screw and a thread embedded in the shell. Side-to-side adjustment allows you to set the frame position, improving your position on skates.
- K2 Wheels - Classic K2 wheels with 82A hardness offer low rolling resistance, good grip, and vibration damping.
- ILQ 5 Bearings - Tested K2 bearings offer satisfactory performance. High durability allows for long-term use. Bearings can be fully disassembled and serviced, extending their lifespan.
- Brake - The manufacturer has equipped the skates with a dedicated brake that can be removed.
K2 Surge - Remember
8 Shell Sizes - Each skate size has a separate shell size. This allows the skates to be better fitted to the user's foot length and allows for more precise selection of the correct size.
Longer Frames for Larger Sizes - To improve riding properties, skates in sizes 44.5, 46, and 48 are equipped with a 255mm frame. This allows for optimal stability for users with larger dimensions and longer feet.
Surge 80 inline skates are a great choice for versatile skaters, for whom the only limitation is their imagination. This model was created to provide you with optimal performance regardless of the chosen riding style.
About manufacturer
K2 Skates is an inline skating division of winter sports and outdoor powerhouse, K2. Americans have never hesitated from forging their own path and have shaken up the industry when they have entered the market back in 1993. K2 is the company that invented the softboot concept, a lightweight, breathable and comfortable boot design attached to and supported by relatively minimalist outer skeleton. The fact that, 30 years later, all major skate manufacturers make their recreational and fitness skates using the same template, speaks for itself. K2 did something right here.
The core offering of the company remains unchanged, though: they are, and always have been, lightweight and comfortable skates. When you put K2 Skates on, they feel like a good pair of running shoes. This is what makes them so popular among fitness-oriented and casual audiences who skate purely for fun. It doesn’t mean that by choosing K2 Skates we sacrifice quality – the company still goes head to head with other industry’s giants in that area.
