Product details
The Powerslide HC Evo 90 is an advanced pair of skates designed for freestyle and urban skating. Lightweight and incredibly responsive, it is a great option for slalom, downhill, or more intense fitness skating.
If there's something to compare the Hardcore Evo line of skates to, it's high-end, timeless sports cars – where each new model year is a step further in quality, comfort, and driving experience, never losing the character of its predecessors.
The 2024 version by Powerslide is no exception – the skates have undergone several minor changes, which can be seen as additional refinements, further perfecting the already successful equipment.
Heat moldable carbon shell with extra heel raise
The Hardcore Evo model was the first Powerslide skate to feature a shell made of heat moldable carbon fiber. With each new version, substantial changes were introduced to bring the HC Evo closer to the ideal of slalom skates.
- The skates are fully heat moldable – not just the shell, but also the lining. This allows for perfect comfort and control.
- The tongue in the boot is equipped with cuts – that facilitate fitting to the foot, thereby helping to lock the heel in place.
- 5mm Heel Lift – the skates have a built-in 5mm heel lift to provide additional forward lean and facilitate tricks performed in a squatting position.
- Reinforced Boot Stitching - equipped with an effective lacing system that wraps the foot well. A new feature is an additional pair of lace eyelets near the 45-degree buckle, catering to people with lower arches - allowing the boots to be laced for even better hold.
- The cuff is equipped with a new type of buckle - stronger and with a stiffer strap than those used in previous HC Evo versions.
While the Hardcore Evo skates are primarily for freestyle slalom – the designers have not forgotten about slide and urban skating fans, offering a replaceable slider on the outside of the boot and additional toe protection.
Precision of Trinity mounting
The Hardcore Evo models are equipped with the innovative Trinity mounting system.
Lower the center of gravity - three connecting points between the frame and boot allow designers to lower the center of gravity, improving control over the skates. The fact that the frame is screwed at the front with two screws creates a kind of platform, increasing stability and facilitating the transfer of movements to the wheels.
Increased precision is something that every freestyle slalom enthusiast will appreciate. It is worth mentioning that the Trinity frame mounting is a patented Powerslide technology not found in any other skate manufacturer. Naturally, the path to replacing the factory frame with another in this standard is open.
90mm Triksate setup
Powerslide Nexus Rocker frames - provide excellent speed and control. Exactly what you need to take your freestyle performance to the next level. Made of strong and lightweight 6061 aircraft aluminum, this three-wheel frame makes dynamic skating, turning, slides, and other tricks almost effortless.
Powerslide has thus said goodbye to the traditional "banana" wheel setup in favor of a lighter, more agile, and faster Triskate set.
Rockering capability – changing the position of two wheels in the framel so that the front one is raised 2 mm above the ground. You can rocker just one or two wheels on your skates, or even rocker your left and right skates differently - you have complete control.
The length of the frame depends on the boot size, so that the set is as well adapted to the user's anatomy as possible.
The lengths of frames are as follows:
- EU 36-38 = 205 mm frame, 84 mm wheels
- EU 39-41 = 215 mm frame, 90 mm wheels
- EU 42-44 = 225 mm frame, 90 mm wheels
- EU 45-46 = 235 mm frame, 90 mm wheels
Wheels and Bearings
The diameter of the wheels also depends on the length of the frame used. The wheels used in these skates are the proven Spinner SHR models with a hardness of 88a, also known from previous editions. They offer an optimal combination of grip and speed. The whole is complemented by Wicked ABEC9 bearings, providing impeccable fast rolling.
Powerslide Hardcore Evo 90 – worth knowing!
The Powerslide Hardcore Evo skates are directed to advanced users, and it should be remembered that the set does not include a brake. The characteristics of the Nexus Rocker frame used exclude the possibility of its installation – Nexus frame are not compatible with brakes.
If you're looking for skates for freestyle slalom or even freeskating that outperform the competition in terms of components – the choice is not difficult. Powerslide Hardcore Evo Trinity is simply a model that cannot be spoken of in anything but superlatives. It is a precise tool created for one purpose – to overcome the skater's own limitations and to win.
About manufacturer
Powerslide is one of industry’s leaders even though it is relatively young company – it has been founded in year 1994. The Germany based brand has entered the market at height of inline skating’s popularity, at the time when market was flooded with low quality skates which could be described as toys rather than sport equipment. From the very beginning, Powerslide had one goal: to break the perception of inline skating being a leisure activity for kids and to promote it as a sport for everyone. That’s not a surprise considering that company’s owner, Matthias Knoll, is a skater himself. As speedskating contender, he breathes this sport and his love for it has been fuelling Powerslide for over 25 years.
If we were to describe Powerslide in three words, these would be: quality, variety and innovation. From the very beginning of company’s existence, Germans have challenged industry’s giants and competed with them in field of quality. Nowadays they are in lead of the pack when it comes to technology: heatmoldable liners and boots, compressed carbon shells, revolutionary Trinity mounting – these things are relatively fresh and competition is yet to respond. Looking back, Powerslide was the first company to introduce carbon freestyle skate with integrated padding. They were the first company to introduce carbon based aggressive skate. 125mm wheels were introduced to speedskating thanks to them. The introduction of Kizer Advance frame and then Level 2 made a big impact and lead to rapid evolution of aggressive flat frames. Germans were the first company to make triskates a significant part of their offering, starting a new trend. Nowadays, Powerslide are the only company that makes real off-road skates (not to be confused with off-road rollerskis).
This pursuit of change and improvement is unique – no other company in this industry is having a boss willing to take even the craziest of ideas and concepts to production stage. Powerslide also have, without a shadow of doubt, the richest catalogue of products among all skating companies; covering even the most niche equipment made for freestyle slalom, downhill and inline alpine. They have full range of accessories and parts: helmets, protection pads, wheels, bearings, frames and so on. The company is also making rollerskates, providing recreational, roller derby and skatepark models and equipment. It can be safely said that if Powerslide is not making something skating related, chances of other companies having it in their offer are slim to none.
Powerslide have an impressive brand portfolio: MyFit liners, Wicked bearings, Reign hockey skates, USD aggressive skates, Kizer frames, Undercover wheels, Matter wheels, Gawds boots, wheels and softgoods, Prime wheels, Juice rollerskates wheels, Chaya rollerskates, Ennui protection and many others.
What makes Powerslide special are company’s people and supporters who create a community around it. Germans support and cooperate with skaters all around the globe. International Powerslide Team is composed of names every inline skating fan should be familiar with and believe us - there are far too many to list them here.

Good skates for almost every purspose
These skates are the best you can try in the market, only one thing that must be changed, the upper bucket makes a lot of noise, but if you change for one like the other bucket (with a thinner strap) the noise is reduced 98%. Great skates for freestyle slalom, urban skating ... Sure a good choice
