Product Description

Bobbi Spassov unquestionably emerges as a dominant figure in the realm of rollerblading's new school aesthetic, serving as the driving force behind Israel's renowned XCCV crew. As an extraordinary skater, Bobbi possesses an abundance of knowledge and experiences that he eagerly imparts upon the world. In 2023, Roces, his esteemed primary sponsor, takes immense pride and excitement in unveiling Bobbi Spassov's fourth signature skate model — the sensational Roces M12 Dogma Spassov Candy.

Roces M12 Dogma Spassov Candy — for whom?

The M12 Dogma Spassov Candy is a reinforcement of Roces' third flagship model for aggressive skating, the Dogma, the classic M12 shell with skin. Fans of the Roces brand, and in particular the specific fit of the slim M12 model, will appreciate the much larger soul plate, as well as the new visual aspect. If you find the Roces M12 skates as the optimum shell for you feet, we confidently recommend the Roces M12 Dogma Spassov Candy models and try out their brand-new features!

Roces M12 Dogma Spassov Candy — why?

Low, flexible cuffs with a minimal V-cut — allowing an increased range of forward flex, helping when learning your first grinds.

Comfortable Roces insole and lining — neoprene toe finish and additional tongue reinforcement in the lacing area. The right combination of materials for a perfect fit with the ergonomic Roces M12 shell.

Roces Street symmetrical frames with friendly anti rocker setup — made from fibreglass reinforced with polyamide, the Roces Street frames are some of the most proven stock frame on the market. With completely hidden hardware, convex walls for less friction or 'bridges' between the wheels for extra stiffness. The large split between the second and the third wheel will also facilitate flat setup option (4 wheels with a maximum size of 60 mm in one frame). Complete with 60 mm 92a hard wheels and Abec 5 high-speed bearings.

Roces M12 Dogma Spassov Candy — worth knowing.

Despite the new look, under the fabric skin you will still find the classic Roces M12 shell, i.e. a slimmer and narrower shape that makes the skates ideal for people with smaller feet. Ergonomic design, a raised heel and the so-called Aluminium Memory Buckle, a unique top closure system that 'remembers' our individual positioning. A well-known and much-loved Roces patent.

Thanks to the use of skins, the M12's compact and visually sleek shell clearly takes on a character and combines perfectly with large, two-piece soul plate of the Roces 5th Element. Resembling the look of sports shoes, can be a versatile base for your own unique setup — remember that the soul plate of the Roces M12 Dogma Spassov Candy skates is interchangeable, and we can find it in several colours.

If necessary, we can use additional laces to tighten the shell independently, under the skin. This feature can further immobilize the ankle position.

The UFS system (Universal Frame System) is a frame mounting standard commonly used in aggressive skates. Created over two decades ago, with the aim of unifying the method of connecting a frame with a boot of an aggressive skate, allowing people to easily use different frames on different boots. Roces M12 Dogma Spassov Candy skates are compatible with any frame corresponding to the UFS system.

About manufacturer

Other products of this producer Roces

Roces company was founded in year 1952 in small Italian city Montebellunar, 50 km from Venice. The brand initially made leather trekking and skiing boots, in time adopting new technologies and possibilities brought by plastic revolution. In year 1978, Roces has made world’s first ice skates with plastic moulded boot. Several years later, Vasco Casavin, already a second generation of company’s owners, meet Scott Olson, a founder of Rollerblade at Los Angeles trade shows. They’ve struck a deal and so begins Roces journey with inline skating – initially limited to making skates for Rollerblade.

The first Roces boot mold is named PRO – the very same shell as the now legendary M12 boot, which is still made today. After a decade of cooperation, two brands split ways and Roces releases their very own skates range in 1994 – showcasing them to general public on trade shows in LA, once again. This was a major surprise for the industry – Rollerblade was already a very strong and well known brand, but few were aware that Roces were behind making their skates.

Roces had perfect timing with the reveal, seeing that inline skating popularity has exploded in mid 90’s. In year 1996, Roces has released the very first „true” aggressive skates, built from the ground up for this demanding style, with low and reinforced frame  – namely, the Majestic 12. The brand’s history is closely tied with aggressive skating from that point. It is worth to note that even when Roces had joined forces with the inline skating legend, Jon Julio, to create Valo brand, which lasted for about a decade, the M12 skate never went out of production.

Other styles were as much influenced by Roces as aggressive. They were the first brand to offer a wide range of inline hockey skates and in year 1995 they have released what now can be called an ancestor of freeskates – Roces Sydney, coming with supportive hardboot, strong aluminium frame, rockering option and 76mm wheels. Back then, Roces already had carbon speedskating boots in their catalogue. In year 1997, Big Cat hit the market – one of the first off-road skates and precursor of modern roller skis. In the same year, Mexico City 5 was released for downhill enthusiasts – the very first harboot skate to come with 5 wheeled frame, stock.

During 60 years of their history, Roces has been setting the trends and actively supported skating scene. They are one of foundations of our favourite sport and their influence cannot be overestimated. Roces skates are result of years worth of development, knowledge and experience.
