USD Inline Skates

The USD brand has been created back in year 1997 by a German company Powerslide. From the very beginning, it had one goal: to revolutionize aggressive skating industry (turn it Up Side Down, hence the original name) and offer skaters degree of customisability not available before. Shane Coburn and Arlo Eisenberg, two talented skaters who have already made a name for themselves, has joined the company as brand ambassadors, pro riders and product design consultants. Other big names have followed: Jon Julio, Josh Petty, Dustin Latimer and Champion Baumstimler have formed what is to this day viewed as one of the best pro-skater teams in history of the sport.

When it comes to technology, USD is just like the parent company, Powerslide – they were always one step ahead of competition and tried fresh ideas. It wasn’t long before they have created what is considered one of the most important and praised aggressive skates ever: USD Throne. Thrones have shown the world that USD is capable of great things. While it’s true that during over 20 years of history the brand had a fair share of flops too, it can be easily explained by their will to try even the craziest ideas.

Today USD is still one of the most important and biggest brands in aggressive skating scene. They actively work to popularize the sport, support many talents worldwide and make excellent skates, no matter if we speak about high end gear like Carbon line or more affordable ones like Sways. In fact, some of their basic models are so good, they are becoming skates of choice of pro-skaters! It is also worth to note the AEON skate line – these have shell, soulplates and frames moulded as single part, which brings many benefits like lower weight, better feel of the tricks and more grinding space between middle wheels.
