For more experienced versatile players – The Jetspeed FT670 INT skates are designed for those who skate regularly and for more advanced amateur hockey players. CCM Jetspeed FT670 INT – Key Features
- Responsive ONE-PIECE Boot – The boot is a one-piece construction. It is characterized by a foot-shaped natural anatomical fit. Compared to its two-piece counterparts, it is lighter, transfers energy better, and fits the foot more snugly, resulting in a better fit. The one-piece boot will help you be faster and more agile on the ice.
- Lightweight Boot – Only 860g for size 42 ensures quick and comfortable movement while skating.
- Thermoforming – You can better fit the skates to your foot shape thanks to the possibility of thermoforming, which improves comfort and control during skating.
- Performance and Energy Transfer – The core with a hardness of 150 provides great performance and very good energy transfer, meaning that each push gives more speed.
- Comfortable HD Microfiber Lining – The combination of a fitted boot and comfortable microfiber lining with an additional EVA padding layer provides high wear resistance and comfort. The lining material helps wick moisture away from the body, keeping it dry.
- Asymmetrical and Replaceable 7mm Felt Tongue – The increased thickness felt tongue improves comfort while tying. The top layer of the tongue is covered with foam and material that reduces pressure with tightly tied laces. The asymmetrical shape of the tongue better fits the foot. If you want to change the fit, you can easily replace the tongue with a thicker or lighter one available from CCM.
- CCM Ortholite Ultra Insole – A very light anatomically shaped foam insole provides great support and comfort for the foot during skating.
- Speedblade XS Mounting – The raised blade mount increases the angle of attack, giving better and stronger propulsion during skating. The mounting system allows for quick and easy blade replacement without the need to remove the skates.
- Replaceable CCM XS Blade – The stainless-steel blade, ready for sharpening, provides good performance on the ice.
- CCM Laces – CCM laces allow for precise and tight tying of the skates, increasing control and fit.
- Two widths for a better fit – Regular for users with a classic foot build and Wide for those with a wider foot.
CCM Jetspeed FT670 – Remember
Sharpening – The FT670 INT skates require sharpening before the first ride. You can sharpen your blades and adjust them to your needs and style of skating. To prevent blade damage during transport and to protect against cuts, equip your skates with additional blade guards.
The Jetspeed FT670 model is a good choice for aspiring amateurs who are no longer satisfied with the performance offered by recreational models. The FT670 skates will help take your skating and skills to a new higher level.
About manufacturer
CCM is a Canadian hockey skates and gear manufacturer with history dating back to end of XIX century. It may be a surprise to many, but at the very beginning, the company has been focused on making bicycles and ...auto-mobiles. Company’s story is rich and full of unexpected turns of events, some of which can make you scratch your head wondering how it even survived up to this day. CCM stands for Canada Cycle and Motor Co.
By the end of XIX and beginning of XX centuries, bicycle market has became pretty saturated, pushing four smaller manufacturers in to consolidation under CCM banner. Because bicycles were no longer sold in high numbers, the company has started to make auto-mobiles, seeing that they were still pretty primitive and didn’t require much of investment in new production line machines. The Russel Motor brand was born, but in less than decade from releasing their first car, it has went its own way as a separate legal entity.
CCM was left with stockpile of raw materials (and scrap metal) from production of bicycles and cars, as well as no feasible way to put these resources in use for further production. Hockey skates and other equipment weren’t really a high tech gear back then, so owners turned their attention towards the most Canadian of all sports. After all, they had plenty of steel, leather and wood.
Another pivotal point was acquisition of hockey boot patent for a design created by boot manufacturer George Tackaberry. His boots were highly popular among professional hockey players. When George passed away, his wife sold the patent right to CCM and this is how flagship line of skates called TACKS was made.
Further down the line, the company went bankrupt, got bought out, changed owners multiple times, worked in toy manufacturing industry for a while, been acquired by Rebook and in turn, Adidas, only to be sold once again back in 2017. That is some turbulent history, but one thing remains consistent – CCM is one of the best and biggest hockey gear manufacturers in the world. In reality, there is only one company that can trade blows with it – Bauer, of course.
