Product details
Rollerblade Twincam ILQ9 Pro are bearings produced for an Italian company by one of the world's best factories of this type of component. They are designed to provide excellent rolling due to 6 balls, which are larger than the usual 7 used, and work better, as well as being more resistant. The bearings have nylon cages, making them lighter and more resistant to dirt, and are sealed with rubber covers, which minimizes the amount of dust that can get inside. High-quality TK Racing oil, made in the USA, is used for lubrication.
ILQ Technology in Rollerblade Twincam Bearings
The ILQ bearing standard refers to the classification system of bearings used in inline skates and quad skates. ILQ stands for "Inline Quad", indicating that these bearings are specifically designed with the needs of skaters in mind.
- Designed specifically for inline skating: Unlike generic bearings, ILQ bearings are developed with the specific requirements of all kinds of skating in mind. This includes factors such as load resistance, rotational speed, and durability.
- Standard 608: ILQ bearings adhere to standard dimensions, allowing them to be mounted in most frames, inline skates and quad skates.
- Material and Construction: ILQ bearings are made of high-quality steel. They are designed to withstand the combination of radial and axial loads that occur while inline skating. The construction includes seals that protect against dust, dirt, and moisture.
- Lubrication and Service: Proper lubrication is key to performance. Rollerblade ILQ 9 Pro bearings can be opened and easily cleaned if needed, extending their lifespan and improving rolling quality.
How does the ILQ designation differ from ABEC?
Skate bearings are often rated using the ABEC (Annular Bearing Engineering Committee) system. The ABEC rating system classifies bearings only in terms of precision, with higher numbers indicating greater precision. However, for inline skating, factors such as load resistance and lubrication quality are also important, which are not directly considered by the ABEC system.
Rollerblade Twincam ILQ9 Pro is recommended for speed skating, as well as freestyle slalom, as in both cases the smooth rotation of these bearings will positively affect the results achieved.
The set also includes a set of precisely matched 8 mm spacers and a practical box, which can be used in the future for transporting small inline skate parts.
About manufacturer
