Seba Skates is a highly recognized brand in the inline skating community, particularly known for its freestyle slalom skates. Its story dates back to 2005, when French freestyle champion Sébastien Laffargue decided to create skates specifically tailored to the demands of this dynamic discipline. At the time, the market was dominated by all-purpose models that did not meet slalom’s specialized needs, so Laffargue developed a line of skates designed to fill this gap.
From its inception, Seba has prioritized high-quality construction and top-notch performance, focusing on control and efficiency. These skates quickly gained a following among freestyle slalom and urban skating enthusiasts, especially thanks to ongoing innovations such as customizable components (adjustable cuffs, diverse frames, and liners). Around 2019, a new brand — FR Skates was introduced, and part of Seba’s existing lineup was split between the two companies. From then on, each brand has evolved independently, although they continue to share certain technological solutions.
Today, Seba Skates offers a wide range of models: from basic urban skates (Seba E3) to those designed for aggressive and wizard skating (Seba CJ), as well as integrated boot options (Seba GT, High Light). Smart and light boots
Good quality, great looking boots.Not all aggressive frames fit the soulplate i.e. SEBA frames fit while a frame such as Kizer Element2 does not fit.The upper buckle has a slightly different design. You may probably close the buckle and make good use of it if you are a beginner and your ankles are thin and not well developed. If your ankle is relatively thick I found that if you manage to close the buckle then a range of motions are heavily restricted. The design of the buckle helps you in this case. You may keep the buckle fully open and the strap will stay in place no matter the moves you are making.Having done that and after noticing that the material of the boot is quite solid and the laces can go all the way up the boot, I went further and removed the upper buckle completely. This lead to 175 grams weight reduction on each boot. Further more there is nothing restricting my motions when doing aggressive or wizard tricks. Some moves I could not do before are now very well possible.When comparing with UFR boots I found that the soulplate offers more landing space when doing grinds or rails. I found that to be very important for me as a beginner.The weight of one boot with no soulplate and no upper buckle is just 715 grams.

affordable CJ! but..
comfy boot overall, but that soulplate interface was slap together...the plate doesnt fit flush. The Seba orthomove insole is INCOMPLETE. its like they didnt want the wedge idea and therefore the wedge was not implemented. Orthomove insole is the same currently running with CCM insoles... you get some velcro tape, the wedges will fit, because guess what, there's cutout at the back of the SAME SHAPE. :D
upper buckle is designed wierdly, did the designer actually try and fiddle around with it and used it from parts bin? some of those parts should be redesigned.

dont stand on it without the frame, you will pop the mount plate from inside.
