The Rollerblade Twister Edge skates are, as their name suggests, a successor to cult classic Twister skates. These are some big shoes to fill, considering that original Twisters were flagship freeskates of Italian brand for almost 15 years and literally sold millions of pairs.
Thankfully, Twister Edge live up to their name, delivering a skate that’s not a mere replacement, but an upgrade in literally every area. The shell, cuff, liner, buckles, frames – everything has been designed from scratch. These are one of the most visually striking skates on the market, thanks to their brutalism, angular design, which makes them blend perfectly in to urban environment.
The easiest way to describe what Twister Edge 110 3WD are is: Twister Edge X with triskating frame. This is it – the three-wheeled version of the best skate in Twister Edge line.
The boot itself is stiffer and gives much better ankle support than old Twisters. Cuff has been shaped to give anatomically correct fit. Furthermore, Rollerblade equipped Twister Edge with metal plates embedded in frame mounting points. As a result, the connection is super solid and give you much better energy transfer. This effect is amplified by Anti Torsion Box, which is a hole underneath central part of the foot, framed with 3D structure, giving the whole shell more rigidity. The shell also accommodates a shock absorber under the heel.
Twister Edge 110 3WD come equipped with best parts Rollerblade can deliver – overall, these are the best, most complete when it comes to quality of all parts, freeskates on three wheels that Italian brand has ever released.
Inside the shell resides a Premium liner, made from top-tier materials. It has been designed to lock the heel in place and provide high level of comfort. It comes with a good insole with arch support. Boot closure is made of lacing and two strong buckles, made for Twister Edge from scratch. Lower one comes with strap shaped in a way that protects buckle mechanism from damage during falls.
The frames do not disappoint. Well-made, strong and rigid, they will withstand even hardcore urban skating. The 3WD Urban frame has proven its worth and have fans worldwide – no surprise seeing that it is one of the best 3x110 freeskating frames money can buy. It measures 255 mm which is a sweet spot between stability, agility and speed. It will allow you to cover long distances with ease.
Wheels used in this version of the skate are Hydrogens – not only the best model in Rollerblade’s catalogue, also one of the best urban skating wheels on the market. You don’t have to worry if they will be up to the task of ripping the streets and landing high jumps. They spin thanks to ILQ-9 Classic Plus bearings made by famous bearing company Twincam.

Stiff, snug and fast!
I have standard width feet with low volume. Feet measure 27.1mm and I took the 43 US10 which was very snug at first but after few longer ride they fit like a glove without any pressure points. My sneakers are 44/US10,5. Very comfy, stiff and fast. Highly recommended for low- to standard feet. Measured liner insole lenght is 280mm (as stated) in this model.
